Title: High-frequency pigment data (Chl, PC, PE) from LM2 buoy in Lake Maggiore - Italy

Abstract: The dataset includes hourly average values (obtained from sensor readings - frequency 1 min) for chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, phycoerithrin (at one fixed depth). Cholophyll data expressed as concentration. NOTE: raw data; factory calibration used; data need to be corrected based on concentration range of the study site. Phycocyanin and phycoerithrin data expressed as contribution to chl-a fluorescence (not absolute concentrations). Data are collected by in-situ sensors on the Lake Maggiore buoy located in the Ispra sub-basin of Lake Maggiore (LM2 buoy; for details see: https://deims.org/locations/d204d9c5-fef7-405e-9043-8bd7d6b954dc). Raw data have beeen checked level 1 (removal of 0, NA, outliers) and hourly averaged. The buoy has been deployed by the Regional Agency of Environmental Protection of the Lombardy Region (ARPA Lombardia) and is presenlty managed in cooperation between CNR IRSA and ARPA Lombardia.
