Title: Time series of Chlorophyll data of Lago Maggiore, Italy

Abstract: The dataset contains monthly observation data collected at the Ghiffa station (deepest point) in Lago Maggiore for chlorophyll-a. Data are obtained form the analysis of integrated samples (0-20 m). Chl-a measurements were done by spectrophotometric technique in the period from January 1984 to December 2009, while from January 2010 onwards measurements were derived from vertical profiling instrument (FluoroProbe, BBE Moldaenke).
