The station, founded in 1988, covers a total area of 1,010 hectares with 900 hectares of productive forest, half of which is made up of spruce forests, one-fourth of conifer mix and one-fourth of pine with deciduous trees. The conventionally managed Asa Experimental Forest is primarily used by researchers to study forest production and management, while the unique Asa high-yield experimental forest is used to explore the various landscape-level impacts of intensive forest management on everything from water quality to recreational value. Aneboda Research Area, with mires and conifer forests, serves as a reference for natural forest development stages. The station also has a comprehensive program for measurements of climate (WMO-standard), stream water chemistry, greenhouse gases (FOMA-flux and a flux tower in the high yield forest) and phenology. Additionally, Lake Feresj\u00f6n provides access to an extensive lake monitoring program and its connected streams.", "descriptionType": "Other"}], "externalSourceInformation": {"externalSourceName": "SITES (eLTER Sweden)", "externalSourceURI": "https://meta.fieldsites.se/objects/vanpx4A8n5cwU5CxaQI0pMFk"}, "files": [{"format": "csv", "md5": "vanpx4A8n5cwU5CxaQI0pMFk1SPncyt9o5gBTl24SEM", "name": "SITES_CHE_ASA_SAN_20170605-20170911_irregular-interval.csv", "size": "35926", "sizeMeasureType": "B", "sourceUrl": "https://data.fieldsites.se/objects/vanpx4A8n5cwU5CxaQI0pMFk"}], "geoLocations": [{"geographicDescription": "Feresj\u00f6n AquaNet platform", "point": {"latitude": 57.180386, "longitude": 14.805381}}], "keywords": [{"keywordLabel": "Chlorophyll"}, {"keywordLabel": "Nitrogen Compounds"}, {"keywordLabel": "Phosphorous Compounds"}, {"keywordLabel": "Fish"}], "licenses": [{"licenseCode": "SITES CCBY4 Data Licence", "licenseURI": "https://meta.fieldsites.se/ontologies/sites/sitesLicence"}], "projects": [{"projectID": "https://meta.fieldsites.se/resources/projects/aquanet", "projectName": "SITES AquaNet"}, {"projectID": "https://meta.fieldsites.se/", "projectName": "SITES external record - eLTER Community"}], "publicationDate": "2017-06-05", "responsibleOrganizations": [{"organizationName": "SITES"}, {"organizationName": "Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences"}], "siteReferences": [{"siteID": "13b28889-ed32-495a-9bb6-a0886099e6d9", "siteName": "Asa Experimental Forest and Research Station - Sweden"}], "temporalCoverages": [{"endDate": "2017-09-11", "startDate": "2017-06-05"}], "titles": [{"titleText": "AquaNet - Chemical parameters from Feresj\u00f6n AquaNet platform"}]}, "pids": {"doi": {"identifier": "11676.1/vanpx4A8n5cwU5CxaQI0pMFk", "provider": "doi.org"}}}
